Nicola founded Solve Social Value in 2023 after years of working with SMEs to improve their social value responses in public sector bids. She recognised a gap between what organisations promised at tender stage and what they could realistically deliver once contracts were awarded.
With a background in bid writing, business development, and social impact delivery, Nicola brings a deep understanding of both client expectations and the practical realities faced by contractors. Her focus is on helping organisations design strategies that not only meet obligations but also build stronger communities and business resilience.

Jo has over 30 years’ experience in the construction industry and a proven track record of driving social value within SMEs. She understands the daily challenges businesses face when trying to meet employment, skills, and community targets — and brings the hands-on knowledge needed to make delivery realistic and measurable.
As a qualified Level 1 SROI (Social Return on Investment) Practitioner, Jo helps clients quantify and communicate the difference their work makes. Her passion lies in making social value practical, embedded, and understood at every level of an organisation.
